Remote Conferencing

Video and audio conferencing systems are all-too-often assumed to be simple to design and implement. In so many situations, the outcomes are remarkably poor in terms of the fundamental requirement of these systems – to clearly transmit speech communication between remote parties.

While there have been huge advances in the compression algorithms employed by video-conferencing codecs, the input and output signals are only as good as the spaces and systems in which they operate. The input and output aspects of these systems are often poorly handled, resulting in poor speech intelligibility and visual connectedness.

ICE Design approaches the design of these systems from a first-principles basis, with an holistic understanding of the acoustic, electro-acoustic, video and network parameters that are required to deliver speech and visual clarity.
